We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, Council Fires 2001 has been cancelled this year.

The Paris Golf and Country sadly has neglected to honour our booking of the usual hall, despite our advance reservation of nearly a year.  Naturally, the hall is now booked solidly for weddings, as are most other suitable venues at this late date.  Council Fires has no choice but to cancel the convention this year.

We would like to thank everyone for the support and goodwill you have offered us.  Finally we would like to stress that...

Perhaps not at the Paris Golf and Country Club, but we'll find something suitable...and a bit more reliable.  Again, our apologies.  We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have inadvertently caused you.
