text[0]="Behind a comfortably strong stone wall the Poles nervously await the oncoming Cossack hordes, bent on plunder.";
text[1]="Here they come! The Polish artillery begins bombarding the approaching enemy. Some horse and commanded shot move up in support.";
text[2]="Two lines of proudly plumed Polish Hussars and tough Pancerni horsemen move at a trot towards the more numerous Turkish cavalry. DBR encourages the use of reserves. Having a second line helps deal with those enemy breakthroughs. Although obviously the Polish player is confident the distant Winged Hussars can deal with the Turkish feudal horse; no second line behind them!"
text[3]="The Turkish cavalry - perhaps not the finest horse on the battlefield, but then quantity has a quality all its own. The Turkish player has decided to keep both the front line and the reserves in one large mass, to facilitate movement.";
text[4]="Good birdseye view of the developing Cossack attack. The centre artillery piece sent ball after ball into the Cossack foot to little effect. The famed Cossack light horse were frustrated by the fortified manor, and tried to find a flank. To the left can be seen several elements of dragoons.";
text[5]="Ouch! The insanely brave Cossack hordes (well, technically 'blades') continue to press home their attack. Beside them, the cossack dragoons recoil from the volume of fire pouring from the Polish musketeers.";
text[6]="Scimitar versus hammer - Turkish spahis and Polish armoured pancerni clash in a mighty melee.";
text[7]="At the height of the battle, the Cossack attack reaches the wall. Beleagured Poles desparately hold the fenceline, as the fighting degenerates into a desperate hand-to-hand brawl.";
text[8]="Meanwhile, as the foot tussle over the manor, the lines of the horse on both sides begin thinning drastically into a confused mess. Ominiously for the Turk, the Polish reserves begin to move up.";
text[9]="High water mark for the Turkish/Cossack alliance. A lone Cossack blade element manages to make it over the wall. Sadly, most of his comrades have fled or lie dying in front of the stone fence. Tired but elated Polish foot turn inwards to destroy the brave Cossack.
The Poles did not know it, but the Cossacks' sole victory conditions were to seize the Governor's Manor House. No doubt full of ill-gotten gold from the over taxed local serfs. The Poles won the battle, but the Cossacks came within an ace of winning. It was an exciting close run game.";
